  • Support students in 1-to-1 or small group sessions, focusing on those who need help to meet targets
  • Applicants must hold a 2:1 or above in an English-related degree
  • Strong knowledge of both English Language and Literature is essential
  • Previous school-based experience advantageous but not essential
  • Work alongside experienced teachers and gain invaluable mentoring
  • In-house teacher training routes available from 2026

About the RoleAs a Graduate English Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key part in helping students strengthen their skills in English. Some pupils may be struggling with certain aspects of the subject and will need patient, tailored support. Others will be high-achievers aiming for top university places, where your academic insight and guidance can help them excel further.You’ll be working closely with skilled teaching staff, gaining a first-hand look at effective teaching strategies and the realities of classroom life.
