Salary: CompetitiveAbout the RoleOur client is seeking a Litigation Assistant to join the Large Loss Team within the Complex Hub of its Motor department. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to complex, high-value motor injury claims, work closely with a team of experienced fee earners and gradually build your own caseload of lower value matters.This position is ideal for a proactive and organised individual with experience assisting on complex motor litigation (preferably defendant-side), looking to grow within a supportive and fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Large Loss Team in the day-to-day management and progression of complex, litigated motor injury claims
- Participate in strategy discussions and planning with the wider team
- Handle a small caseload of lower value, less complex motor injury files independently
- Support tasks such as CRU/NHS charge handling, disclosure and document management
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts and opposing solicitors
- Coordinate meetings and expert appointments and draft routine correspondence
- Maintain accurate case records and time-record activity using the case management system
- Major UK motor insurers
- Claims handling organisations
- Self-insured businesses
- Experience assisting on complex motor injury claims (ideally on the defendant side)
- Familiarity with multi-track and/or catastrophic loss litigation
- Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise a diverse workload
- Experience with case management and time recording systems (desirable)
