- Research latest developments in decarbonisation technology;
- Participate in hazard identification workshops with multi-disciplinary teams comprising specialists from LR and external organisations;
- Use modelling software to analyse the potential consequences of accidents involving alternative fuels (such as fires, explosions and toxic gas clouds);
- Conduct analysis of the likelihood of such accidental events using available industry data and techniques such as event tree analysis; and,
- Compile written reports of the studies performed.
- Familiarity with the techniques mentioned above is an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
- Has a good interpersonal skills, enabling you to work well with other team members;
- Is practical, adaptable and well organised approach - and the ability to work to tight deadlines;
- Has Flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas to participate in meetings or workshops – up to a maximum of 2 weeks away from home may be required;
- Is able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills;
- Has strong competency with MS Office packages, particularly Excel;
- Has preferably (but not essentially) 1-2 years of relevant experience.
