Responsibilities – Fire Alarm Service EngineerAs a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, your role will include:
  • Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of fire detection systems
  • Work with emergency lighting systems and fire alarm technologies across diverse sites
  • Install and commission fire alarm systems, focusing on Advanced and Kentec panels
  • Plan and complete scheduled maintenance and responsive service visits
  • Diagnose faults using systematic fault-finding techniques
  • Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately
  • Lead small-to-medium installation projects when required
  • Ensure compliance with BS7671:2018, BS5839-1:2017, and BS5839-6:2019
  • Deliver professional customer service at all times
Requirements – Fire Alarm Service Engineer
  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer or similar technical role
  • FIA Units 1–5 (or equivalent qualifications)
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire detection systems
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • A professional and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Electrical background essential
  • Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces
