We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preconstruction Manager to join an industry leading D&B fit out contractor who services the commercial office industry creating inspiring work spaces across the UK.They are looking for a Preconstruction Manager to join their dynamic team at their Surrey office. As an industry-leading Design & Build contractor specialising in commercial office fit outs, they are a well established business with 30 years presence in London and various regional locations. The Preconstruction Manager will play a pivotal role in our organisation, overseeing the preconstruction phase of projects and leading our preconstruction team to deliver high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective solutions to our clients.Key Responsibilities:- Lead the preconstruction phase of projects, including the preparation of estimates, budgets, schedules, and value engineering analysis.- Collaborate with the business development and design teams to review and provide input on project proposals, ensuring that they are aligned with the client's objectives, budget, and timeline.- Manage the bidding process, including the solicitation of subcontractor and supplier proposals, bid analysis, and subcontractor selection.- Oversee the development of accurate and competitive cost estimates, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.- Conduct thorough site evaluations and assessments to identify potential challenges, opportunities, and risks during the preconstruction phase.- Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the preconstruction process.- Continuously seek opportunities to improve preconstruction processes, methodologies, and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Qualifications and Skills:- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.- Proven track record of successful preconstruction management on commercial office fit out projects, preferably within the London market.- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and systems, with a keen understanding of cost implications and value engineering opportunities.- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing preconstruction team.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.- Proficiency in industry-standard preconstruction software and tools, such as estimating, scheduling, and building information modeling (BIM) software.If you are a strategic thinker, a collaborative leader, and a results-driven professional with a passion for delivering exceptional commercial office fit out projects, we encourage you to apply for the Preconstruction Manager position.
