- Work with external advisors to ensure all corporate income tax returns are filed and payments are made on time
- Work with external advisors/NBCU teams to ensure all transfer pricing documentation is accurate to carry forward and maintain
- Forecast cash tax payments
- Assist US Tax team with info gathering for Pillar 2 and CBCR
- Obtain Certificates of Residence from local tax authority and ensure WHT certificates are obtained from customers
- Registration for local VAT/GST in new territories
- Submission of local VAT/GST filings
- Point of contact for business on VAT related queries
- Review of legal contracts for VAT clauses
- Ensure the group is ready for digital invoicing requirements
- PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) for UK based companies
- Global mobility of employees/Employer of record solutions
- Work with HR/Payroll teams on employment tax matters
- Share scheme reporting- if applicable
- Ensure reporting of benefits across all territories is dealt with where they sit outside of payroll process
- First point of contact for international tax authorities
- Tax lead for audits of statutory accounts
- Ensure a risk and control matrix is maintained
- Documentation of tax policy and strategy
- Ensure R&D claims are made and maximised where possible
- Tax Business partner for the group for EMEA, APAC region
- Review legislative changes across the region
- Manage budget of external advisors and ensure they provide value relative to fees
- Collaborate with UK and US tax teams on international tax and commercial initiatives.
- Procure, implement, and manage tax incentives granted by regional tax authorities.
- Assist with dividend and repatriation planning across jurisdictions.
- Supervise regional tax controversies, including audits, appeals, and litigation.
- Conduct routine meetings with finance, legal, and business development teams to align tax with commercial initiatives.
- Monitor and communicate changes in international tax legislation and accounting standards.
- Lead compliance efforts in response to tax law changes.
- Review and resolve customer withholding tax (WHT) disputes and contract WHT clauses.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent professional qualification in related field.
- Significant experience in international tax within a multinational corporation.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align tax planning with business objectives.
- Strong understanding of tax governance, audits, and risk management.
- Clear and professional communication with internal teams, external advisors, and tax authorities.
- Extensive experience in international income tax planning, accounting, and compliance.
- Experience in pricing and documentation of related party transactions, especially services and intangible assets.
- Proven track record of working with local tax authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
- Awareness of international tax issues in the context of global licensing and IP.
- Strong strategic thinking and independent decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex tax issues within a commercial context.
- Experience in managing and directing tax litigation and appeals.
