The work supports industrial and commercial clients in reducing energy costs and carbon emissions. Projects typically deliver a strong return on investment within 12-18 months and demand precision, innovation, and close collaboration across design and engineering teams.Role OverviewSeeking a skilled SolidWorks 3D Modeller with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering. The role involves designing and modelling complete system layouts, component assemblies, and infrastructure for CHP units, battery enclosures, and PV integrations. A strong eye for detail and a clear understanding of real-world applications are critical to success.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate accurate 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks for mechanical, electrical, and structural components.Develop detailed system layouts for energy infrastructure, including CHP, battery storage, and solar PV.Produce general arrangement (GA), fabrication, and installation drawings for engineering and contractor use.Collaborate with engineers to convert technical specifications into detailed models.Maintain drawing control, versioning, and project documentation throughout the design process.Participate in site surveys to gather accurate dimensions and reflect existing conditions.Support the creation of manufacturing and assembly documentation such as BOMs, panel layouts, and ducting/piping routes.Identify and implement design optimisations to improve efficiency, buildability, and serviceability.Ensure all designs meet relevant health & safety regulations and engineering standards.
