We are recruiting on behalf of a respected and forward-thinking client for a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing commercial team in the UK water industry.This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative and collaborative environment, where you’ll take a leading role in managing key commercial aspects of infrastructure projects—while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working.🔧 Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver quantity surveying duties across assigned projects and work packages.
  • Work collaboratively with design, construction, and supply chain teams to monitor and control project costs.
  • Ensure robust main contract management, raising relevant notices and correspondence in line with NEC3.
  • Prepare and issue subcontract documentation and assist in performance management of subcontractors.
  • Manage preparation and agreement of applications for payment.
  • Produce accurate cost & value reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Support and mentor junior commercial staff as required.
  • Continuously engage in professional development and industry networking.
  • Maintain professional, positive relationships across internal teams and client interfaces.
  • Uphold confidentiality and contribute to a solutions-driven project culture.
👤 About You:Essential:
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • Working towards or achieved Chartered Membership of a recognised institution (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
  • Proven experience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA project environments.
  • Strong knowledge and application of NEC3 contracts.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in managing or mentoring a small commercial team.
