We are recruiting on behalf of a respected and forward-thinking client for a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing commercial team in the UK water industry.This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative and collaborative environment, where you’ll take a leading role in managing key commercial aspects of infrastructure projects—while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working.🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver quantity surveying duties across assigned projects and work packages.
- Work collaboratively with design, construction, and supply chain teams to monitor and control project costs.
- Ensure robust main contract management, raising relevant notices and correspondence in line with NEC3.
- Prepare and issue subcontract documentation and assist in performance management of subcontractors.
- Manage preparation and agreement of applications for payment.
- Produce accurate cost & value reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Support and mentor junior commercial staff as required.
- Continuously engage in professional development and industry networking.
- Maintain professional, positive relationships across internal teams and client interfaces.
- Uphold confidentiality and contribute to a solutions-driven project culture.
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
- Working towards or achieved Chartered Membership of a recognised institution (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
- Proven experience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA project environments.
- Strong knowledge and application of NEC3 contracts.
- Previous experience in managing or mentoring a small commercial team.
