Christmas high street voucher rewardsWe’re looking for a skilled Mobile HGV Trailer Technician, also known as a Field Service Trailer Mechanic or Mobile Commercial Vehicle Fitter, to join a growing team in Hull. This permanent role offers excellent autonomy, manufacturer-backed training, and all the tools needed to deliver high-quality roadside and on-site support. It’s a great fit for a self-motivated Trailer Technician who enjoys working independently.Key Responsibilities of a Mobile HGV Trailer Technician
- Perform inspections, servicing, and repairs on trailers at customer sites
- Diagnose and fix faults using EBS systems such as HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE
- Accurately complete job cards, inspection sheets, and compliance documentation
- Provide excellent customer service during callouts and scheduled visits
- Manage van stock, equipment, and tools effectively
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and to high standards
- Participate in ongoing training including IRTEC and trailer-specific systems
- Experience maintaining semi-trailers or heavy goods vehicles
- Recognised qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance
- HGV Class 1 licence
- IRTEC certification
- Experience diagnosing EBS systems (Knorr Bremse, Haldex, WABCO)
- Welding certification
- Knowledge of BPW, SAF, or JOST axles
- Tail lift and double deck trailer maintenance
