Position SummarySamsung Networks is a industry leader in Open RAN network deployments with commercial deployments in US, Asia and European markets. We are expanding our Service portfolio to include System Integration Services and as a result we will be creating a new team to lead these activities.As part of our expansion in Europe, Samsung Networks UK is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated System Integration Technical Manager to oversee the delivery of our System Integration Testing and Support packages for a Tier 1 customer in Europe. You will manage and oversee the delivery of our Technical obligations commencing in Q1 2025 and excel in the supporting all of our Technical commitments and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction as a result.This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who can demonstrate a proven track record in Technical management of complex multi vendor IT and Core Telecommunications project and has extensive experience in creating and maintaining highly satisfied customers.This role is based in Reading but will require travel to other project and customer locations in the UK..The on-boarding timeline for this role is expected to be Q1 2025.This is a permanent position reporting to the Head of Service & System Integration in the Samsung Networks European Organisation.Role and ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with the wider Samsung System Integration Technical teams you will assume the following responsibilities:-Specify the End to End System Integration Test deliverables for all of the ORAN vendorsDefine the Test reporting criteria with each stakeholder and create and maintain a customer dashboard for all Test process reporting and issue tracking items.Ensure that the agree Test scope and specification testing reports have been provided by each ORAN vendorOptimize the Test execution plans across each ORAN vendors labs to ensure the most optimal testing path is used.Ensure that all Test defects are captured and reported to the key stakeholders and proved an End to End resolution plan for such itemsSteer vendors during troubleshooting and root cause analysis activitiesPresent Test progress reports to senior stakeholders in the customers organisationCreate a final Test exit report and system deployment method of procedure documents to the customer.In Life Operational Product defect support to the customers technical teamsProvide Troubleshooting coordination of complex product issuesAct as the main technical interface for the Samsung Global Service Centre for Problem ticket analysis.What we need for this roleTo be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:Experience , preferably in Telecoms, Electronics or Computer Science/ITExperience in a Technical lead/management role in the telecom/IT sector with specific focus on RAN technologiesProven track record with RAN Test coordination and management of complex multiparty hardware and software releases.Previous experience of multi vendor RAN network virtualizing solutions such as Open RAN is a plusProven Operational hands-on troubleshooting in multivendor environmentsExceptional technical problem identification ability and Root Cause Analysis coordinationExcellent Defect handling across multiple vendor domain's.Excellent level of technical presentation, communication and planning skills.Ability to prepare & deliver complex technical concepts to a high standard within tight timescales.Fluent in spoken and written EnglishExcellent documentation writing skillsExceptional ability to navigate large and complex organisations to build relationships and influencing capabilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsWhat does success look like?You will have successfully lead the ORAN System Integration testing phases and achieved the Test completion milestones on timeYou will have developed and agreed a solid Hardware and Software Test process with the customer and 3rd party ORAN vendors including the internal Samsung technical teamsYou will have structured the Test governance with the customer and developed the means to communicate timeline adherence to ensure documentation is delivered on time as per the Project milestonesYou will have supported all in life Operational product problem case and ensured that all problems were resolved in a timely and transparent mannerSkills and QualificationsBenefits of working at Samsung includeHybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days at home per weekBonus scheme linked to individual, team and company performancePartner Colleagues are not eligible for Samsung Enhanced Paid Sick Leave but may be eligible for statutory payments from their payroll agencyUp to 20 (pro-rata) Partner Absence days per calendar year to be used in times of needCar allowancePension contributionThree volunteering days each yearHoliday - 25 days plus bank holidays and an additional day off for your birthdayAccess to discounts on a wide range of Samsung productsAccess to a discount shopping portalA note on equal opportunitiesWe are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our Company.
