Kingdom People are looking for Counter-Balance Drivers to join our team at Trafford Park.Position Summary:
  • Pay: £13.50 per hour / Overtime £20.25 per hour / Bank Holidays £27.00 per hour
  • Location: Trafford Park (M17)
  • Hours: 4 on 6 off, 2 days (06:30 – 18:30) and 2 nights (18:30 – 06:30)
  • Role: Counter-Balance Driver - responsibilites can vary depending on department
  • Requirements: Must have a valid, in-date FLT Counter-Balance licence and be a reliable and trustworthy individual

Key Responsibilities:
  • General FLT work - may involve working with attachments (Bale clamps, Parent roll clamps & Pole)
  • Unloading parent rolls from the papermaking dry end conveyor
  • Transporting parent rolls to their required destination (Production line, parent roll bridge, or designated warehouse)
  • Updating parent roll storage plans as per parent roll movements
  • Following Fire roll procedures as per Papermaking Team Leader
  • Transporting, storing, and loading parent roll cores into the magazine
  • Banding up used parent roll cores for re-use or scrapping
  • Maintaining area standards – storing small/scrap/hold rolls in correct areas and general housekeeping
  • Complying with all site safety rules
Ideal Candidate:
  • Holds a valid, in-date FLT Counter-Balance licence
  • Punctual and reliable to fulfil shift rotas
  • Able to work extra shifts as required due to business needs and holiday cover
  • Good organisational skills
  • Tidy and responsible
  • Strong work ethic
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace
