- Lead and deliver Structural Engineering Inspections and reports for Building Safety Cases in line with current regulations.
- Oversee the technical quality of structural assessments and reporting outputs across the team.
- Work closely with the Associate Director and contribute to business development and client relationship management.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients on key projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, contributing to their technical and professional development.
- Conduct site visits, assess structural integrity, and produce clear, actionable written advice and reports.
- Support the growth of the team and services, including participating in strategic planning and service improvement.
- Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated Building Safety Case outputs.
- Undertake detailed structural design and assessment work, preparing clear and accurate reports, specifications, and schedules in line with project and regulatory requirements.
- Chartered Membership of IStructE or ICE is essential.
- Strong experience in structural safety, including Robustness and Progressive Collapse.
- Proven track record delivering structural inspections and safety reports for complex buildings.
- Experience working with or assessing Large Panel Systems (LPS) is highly desirable.
- Sound knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards.
- Comfortable conducting site visits, identifying structural risks, and writing clear, evidence-based reports and advice.
- Broad exposure to different construction materials and building types across sectors.
- Demonstrable experience in mentoring or managing others.
- Confident in client-facing roles and leading technical discussions.
- Familiarity with multi-disciplinary teams and how structural input contributes to the wider Building Safety Case.
- Experience undertaking detailed structural design and assessments, including the production of technical reports, specifications, and schedules.
