Wincanton are offering the opportunity for Class 2 Drivers to join a delivery team in Lymedale Stoke on Trent.We're looking for a dedicated driver to handle deliveries for our New Look contract, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods. This is a physically demanding role that requires manual handling.
  • £38,240.63 per annum
  • £15.32 per hour
  • Start times between 08:00-15:00
  • Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday
  • 48 hour per week contract
  • £19.31- overtime rate for hours worked over 48
  • 28 days annual leave inclusive
  • If successful, for every driver that you refer, you can earn an impressive £1,000 (subject to conditions)
How will you contribute?
  • Delivering to a network of retail stores for our new customer New Look, unloading vehicles at delivery points
  • Collecting and logging returns
  • Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies
  • Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects
  • Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured
  • Driving a Class 2 Vehicle in a safe manner, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation
What will you bring?
  • Must have valid in date Class 2 licence
  • Must hold a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card)
  • Must hold Digital Tachograph card
  • Must not have more than 6 points on licence
  • Must have minimum 12 months Class 2 driving experience
  • Previous Multidrop experience would be preferred and the use of handheld scanning devices
  • A general understanding of driver's hours legislation and working time directive
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
  • Time management skills and comfortable in working to deadlines
