Mobile Plant Fitter - Frog Island, Rainham Essex£45,432.92 per annum41 hours per week - Mon-FriThe successful candidate will be a certified Fitter/Mechanic who will be responsible for repairing and maintaining mobile plant to ensure utmost reliability and safety whilst reducing downtime. Working as part of a small team, you must be willing to perform tasks outside of the role description.Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical support to all mobile plant operations
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks around the ELWA sites
  • Repairing mobile plant around the ELWA sites
  • Anticipate mobile plant failures and make such changes or recommendations to prevent reoccurrence to minimize downtime
  • Using hand tools, welding equipment, powered hand tools and cutting equipment
  • Ensuring H&S standards are maintained, and all related documentation is completed
  • Liaising with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work
  • Travelling and working between ELWA Sites as and when required.
RequirementsEssential criteria for this role:
  • Able to diagnose faults, repair and maintain machinery, and have a good understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Previous experience working with heavy machinery or in a mechanical / Auto electrical role can be beneficial
  • Able to work under pressure
