About The RoleKitchen AssistantPay rate : £12.30 per hourHours : 20 hrs ( working every other weekend )Shift : 08.30 hrs to 19.00hrsWe have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Maiden Castle House, our state-of-the-art residential and dementia care in the historic County Town of Dorchester, Dorset.As a not-for-profit charity within Social Care, we focus on the reward and recognition of all our people, our benefits include:

What you will be doing:
  • Support the Chef team with the basic preparation of fresh and nutritious meals, snacks and drinks for our residents
  • Assist with supporting residents with an enjoyable dining experience every day
  • Ensuring kitchen and dining room areas are kept hygienic and clean
  • Washing all cooking appliances and crockery - sanitising all food preparation areas
