  • Support individuals with physical, sensory, or learning disabilities in educational and daily activities.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and adaptive learning strategies as needed.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement personalised support plans.
  • Monitor progress, report observations, and contribute to reviews of care and education plans.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in line with safeguarding policies.
Ideal Candidate Requirements of the Disability Support Worker:
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities in school, care, or community settings.
  • Empathetic, patient, and resilient approach to challenges.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and willingness to follow child protection procedures.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
