Senior Associate - Contentious Trusts & Probate
DorsetChadwick Nott are instructed on an opening for a Senior Associate to join a high-performing Legal 500-recognised team.This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse range of complex, high-value contentious trusts and probate matters as well as Court of Protection matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of a growing and respected department.What you'll be doing:
  • Leading on quality contentious trusts and probate matters, building and managing a profitable caseload.
  • Acting as a mentor supervising junior lawyers and support staff.
  • Playing a key part in the strategic development and marketing of the department to include representing the firm externally, building relationships and growing the team's reputation through business development.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and wider regulatory requirements.
Candidate requirements:
  • A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 6+ years' PQE in contentious private client work.
  • Significant experience managing high-value, complex trust and estate disputes.
  • Ideally, exposure to contentious Court of Protection work.
  • A natural leader, with excellent communication and client care skills.
  • A strong interest in business development, networking, and mentoring others.
