QA EngineerAs a QA Engineer you will help with the requirement definition, design, test and deployment of complex products we're creating for over 1 million clients at ADP.We are looking for a QA Engineer with at least 5 years' experience, with good communication skills, required to test new features and develop automation tests within our cutting-edge Online Payroll Platform application as part of a fast moving international agile team.A little about ADP:

  • Ensuring the quality of new features, and extensions to existing features
  • Collaborate on the definition of user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure expectation are clear and met
  • Ensuring maximum coverage using automation tests for features under development
  • Deployment of new features to Pre-Production/Production using CI-CD tools
  • Ensuring existing automation assets for specific areas of the application continue passing
Technology Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience testing online web applications, preferably working with Cypress, Cucumber, Selenium, Jenkins, Ruby or similar
  • Good understanding of API testing using Postman, Ruby or similar
  • Good understanding of automating dynamic web applications in React and Node
  • Experience of other Test Automation Frameworks/Solutions a bonus
Skills
  • Passion for ensuring quality
  • Excellent Test Automation experience with detailed understanding of the page object design pattern and its implementation
  • Embraces the Agile Software Developer principles, patterns and behaviours
  • Experience with Test Driven Development and continuous integration
  • Experience testing responsive designs using different devices
  • Able to confidently communicate ideas well, as well as work through complex issues
  • Capable of researching and diving into the unknown on your own as well as working through and discussing solutions as a team member
  • Good understanding of unit and integration testing using mocks
  • Ideally qualified to degree-level
Other Requirements
  • Strong advocate of automated testing
  • Self-starter, can take direction and execute it effectively with a "can do" attitude
  • Committed in finding root causes of problems
  • Must be able to work extra hours when required
  • Able to manage priorities based on business needs and project schedules
  • Can work closely with Subject Matter Experts in the wider team (onshore and offshore) to gain knowledge of affected functional area
Environment
  • Agile methodologies are used on all project teams. You must be happy expressing requirements and documentations using concise methods early in the project life cycle (SharePoint, Wiki entries, etc.)
  • This will involve interaction with our US & India teams. Core hours will generally be 9 to 5 but the applicant must be flexible in case the requirements of the project means they need to work outside of these hours
