NavLive is a spin-out from the University of Oxford, backed by award-winning technology and algorithms. We are developing real-time spatial AI solutions for the construction and geospatial industries.We use real-time multi-sensor fusion and high-precision positioning technology to build 3D models of indoor and outdoor environments in real-time. Our tech can infer what has changed and provide insights to facility owners or site decision-makers. We want to recruit a lead product design / mechanical engineer to help us develop our products and execute R&D projects with partners in the above-mentioned sectors.Are you interested in joining a rapidly growing start-up to develop advanced technology which will revolutionise how companies monitor their assets, make decisions and measure the real world?TasksYour role as a Product Design Lead will involve:
  • Leading mechanical design
  • Driving product development from concept to production
  • Managing manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Managing supply chain and certification processes
  • Leading and mentoring a growing engineering team
  • Scale up our hardware operations from small batch manufacturing to a professional production environment
RequirementsKey requirements for this role:
  • 5+ years CAD design experience, using software such as SolidWorks
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Product Design
  • Strong mechanical engineering expertise with a working knowledge of electronics
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing, production, or procurement
The following are desirable skills and traits:
  • Experience in consumer or industrial product design
  • Previous team leadership or mentorship experience
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Altium, Eagle, or KiCad
  • Experience integrating sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, or GPS
  • A strong drive for career progression and interest in growing with a scaling company
