- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management and the Board to support decision-making and organisational development.
- Manage restricted and unrestricted funding and lead on financial aspects of grant applications and monitoring.
- Oversee operational delivery, including HR processes (recruitment, induction, appraisals, pay reviews) with support from our HR consultant.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and facilitate effective governance through liaison with the Board and management of Board affairs.
- Act as Data Protection Officer and ensure robust internal controls and risk management procedures are in place.
- Line manage the Finance Coordinator and Office Coordinator and oversee financial and administrative functions.
- Support the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures.
- Produce project budgets and financial reports for funders and external stakeholders.
Criteria
1. Knowledge and Training
1.1 Proven experience in finance and operations management, ideally within a small charity, with at least 5 years’ experience of working in a senior finance position.
