We’re exclusively supporting a well-established, growing organisation in the Chesterfield area with the appointment of an Interim Financial Controller for an initial 12-month contract. The role is in the Chesterfield area, and is hybrid with only 1 or 2 days in the office required.This is a hands-on role leading a small transactional finance team and working closely with the Finance Director. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day running of the finance function as well as supporting the FD with wider business initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Managing and mentoring a small finance team covering transactional processesProducing monthly management accounts and providing insightful analysis to the FDOverseeing balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow, and controlsSupporting with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end processesDriving improvements across systems, processes and reportingActing as a key business partner to operational and commercial stakeholdersOverseeing payrollThe Successful Candidate:A qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or QBE) with proven experience in a Financial Controller roleStrong technical skills with the ability to be hands-on when neededA natural leader who enjoys developing people and creating a high-performing teamCommercially aware with the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders
