Benefits: 25 days holiday, MML Salary Sacrifice Pension, free travel on West Midlands Metro and NX Buses for you and your partnerBe the eyes behind the scenes!At West Midlands Metro, safety and security aren’t just priorities they’re the foundation of everything we do.As our Security and CCTV Administrator, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our network, customers and team members safe, by managing and reviewing security footage, liaising with local police, and helping to keep our records sharp, accurate and up-to-date.This is a role for someone with a sharp eye, strong administrative skills, and a desire to make a real difference behind the scenes.You won’t be on the front line, but you’ll be the one who helps uncover the full picture when things go wrong and helps prevent them happening again.Security and CCTV Administrator – What You Will Be Doing:This is not your average desk job. Every day brings something new, and your attention to detail will directly support investigations, safety audits and insurance processes.Your responsibilities will include:
- Downloading and reviewing footage from trams, stations and body-worn cameras following incidents.
- Working with police and internal teams to share, analyse and discuss footage where required.
- Reviewing on-tram data (OTDR) and safety-critical communications to build a timeline of events.
- Keeping accurate, up-to-date records of incidents and investigations in our internal systems.
- Responding to requests for CCTV footage including sensitive law enforcement disclosures.
- Supporting audits and maintenance checks of CCTV and security systems.
- Logging, escalating and tracking faults with our systems.
- Assisting the Security and Insurance Officer with security admin tasks and reporting.
- Offering occasional support to the QHSE Team on projects and initiatives.
- Experience working in an office-based environment, keeping clear and accurate records.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook and Word).
- The ability to manage your time, stay organised and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail – you notice what others might miss.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above.
- Flexibility to start earlier or finish later on occasion if urgent footage needs reviewing.
