Having secured the exclusive European broadcast rights for the Olympics until 2032, and recently took over operations of BT Sport rebranding them to TNT Sports and with the global recognition of Warner Brothers Discovery, there's no better time to join the Eurosport team in this incredibly exciting time of rapid growth and innovation!The LiveTouch Replay Operator will be motivated and forward-planning using their experience of Live Replay System and working closely with the Producers and Content Management Team to fulfill the live replay needs of our productions. The successful candidate would be responsible for operating, preparing and coordinating live replays across all our productions for sports content as well as ensuring high standards across the freelance pool of operators.Please note that this is a one-year fixed-term contract until August 2025.RequirementsMust have experience of working in a live studio environmentExperience in delivering fast speed replay packages during live broadcastsWorking knowledge of industry standard replay hardware and software, with experience of LiveTouch or EVS desirableProven ability to successfully form and manage relationships with a production team and clients in an international environmentStrong communicator and team-workerEnthusiastic, positive and self-motivatedCool under pressure and be willing to lead by examplePassion for and knowledge of sport a bonusFlexible, organised and punctualMust have legal right to work in the UK. The role will be based in Chiswick and Uxbridge, involves some weekend work, some unsociable hours and occasional offsite travel.ResponsibilitiesBased in our Chiswick, West London offices and our Stockley Park, Uxbridge studios you will be responsible for the content capture and live replay of the sports events.The key focus of this role will be to operate the LiveTouch Replay system during live sports events and build replay packages for immediate playback. You will also ensure that all content is marked and tagged correctly for archiving or later edits. Additional focus will be on supporting our EVS live replay operations. As part of the live gallery team your aim is to deliver the best visual and editorial content available. This is where some sport knowledge will help (especially snooker, tennis, cycling, superbikes, Olympics, football etc).Designing best practice for managing storage content by arching important content and clearing the machines of out-of-date clips. This would also include pre-emptive technical maintenance such as purging audio cache. Look at ways to optimise operational workflows and systems by collaborating with engineering and technical teams to deliver systems upgrades and improvements.Training freelancers and documenting the operation of LiveTouch/EVS will improve standards across the board and so is vital to the role. Managing equipment and following any issues ensures all of productions have the best quality. Delivering clear notes and documentation to other operators whilst supporting multiple concurrent productions.Creative thinking and working closely with the production team highlighting interesting moments within the sport, communicating with the production team to ensure they get the best possible content to engage our viewers.We are a small team so a high level of responsibility for the live replays will be required.
