Mobile Vehicle Technician required in Oxfordshire and the surrounding region.
  • SALARY: between £32-38,000 per annum with a performance-related bonus providing a £40-50,000 annual on-target earnings.
  • HOURS: Guaranteed 5-day week. Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays. For any Saturdays worked, you receive a day off in the week.
Our client, an automotive fleet maintenance business that has been operating nationwide since 2008, is currently looking to recruit a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join their mobile team, to help cover the Oxfordshire and surrounding region.If you're looking for a role where every day is different-free from workshop politics-and you can truly enjoy your job while being your boss on the road, look no further!Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role will involve carrying out roadside assistance to customer vehicles, fleet maintenance, specialist diesel particulate filter (DPF) work and Jaguar/Land Rover-focused tasks, whilst also conducting routine inspections, repairs and servicing. You will be expected to cover a roughly 90-minute radius of the Oxfordshire region.Duties for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role include:
  • Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles.
  • Identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
  • Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
  • Test the functionality of parts and systems.
  • Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
  • Servicing, repairing and replacing brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
  • Ensuring the vehicle is road safe.
  • Writing service reports on the work carried out.
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on and external training.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.
  • Keep a professional appearance.
Whilst no formal automotive qualifications are required for our client, given you will be working independently daily, you will need to have extensive "time served" experience as a Vehicle Technician. Any experience working in a similar mobile/roadside repair role or any experience working on diesel particulate filters or with Jaguar/Land Rovers would be highly advantageous. You will need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, have your tools, and be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced and demanding workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team.What's in it for you?
