🌟 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School 🌟We are working with a lovely primary school in Selsey who are looking for a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September .This rewarding role involves supporting a pupil with additional needs who requires individualised support throughout the school day. The child can present challenging behaviour and may sometimes refuse to be in the classroom , so we are looking for someone with experience in SEND settings who is confident in supporting children who become dysregulated .The child loves puzzles and thrives with adult support , so building a positive and trusting relationship will be key to helping him engage in learning and enjoy his time at school. This is a role where patience and empathy are essential, as forming a bond will take time – but the rewards of seeing progress will be worth it!The Role:Working 1:1 with a pupil with additional needsSupporting with emotional regulation and engagement in learning * Using his interests to redirect focus and create a calm atmosphere.Encouraging participation in classroom activities and providing alternative support where neededUsing your patience and creativity to build a strong relationship over timeKey Details:Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to FridayPay: £89 per dayStart: SeptemberExperience: Previous SEND experience required, particularly with children who may become dysregulated or need extra emotional supportIf you are patient, passionate, and confident supporting pupils with additional needs , we would love to hear from you!What We’re Looking For:A background (personal or professional) in SEND, care, or mental health(If personal, please include this clearly on your CV!)A resilient, proactive, and reliable attitudeConfidence in managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional needsEnergy, compassion, and commitment to making a positive impactAvailability to work until at least 4:30 PM most daysAdditional Information:Small classes with support from other Teaching Assistants and a TeacherFull training and ongoing support providedFlexible full-time hours for the right candidateImportant Notice:To apply for this position, you must have the right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa.
