Care Team Leader Bedford Council Initial 3-Month Contract | 37 Hours per Week | £18 Umbrella per Hour (£14 PAYE an hour) Bedford Council are looking for an experienced and motivated Care Team Leader to join their Adult Social Care team on an initial 3-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and hands-on care experience to make a real difference supporting residents with dementia and complex needs. The Role As a Care Team Leader, you will: Lead and supervise care staff, ensuring high standards of care are delivered at all times. Take charge of shifts and act as the senior in charge , making key decisions and ensuring smooth running of the service. Provide personal care and support to residents, with a strong focus on dementia care . Administer medication in line with policies and procedures. Ensure care plans and records are up to date and accurate. Support and mentor team members to maintain a positive and professional care environment. About You To be successful in this role, you will need: Essential experience in dementia care. Previous experience administering medication. Strong supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to run a shift confidently. A valid Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. Flexibility to work across a rota system, including alternate weekends and bank holidays. Shift Details Hours: 37 hours per week (flexible rota, 4 weeks in advance) Shifts: Early: 07:15 - 15:15 Late: 13:45 - 21:45 Requirements: Alternate weekends, bank holidays, early and late shifts Contract Details Location: Bedford Council Contract Length: Initial 3 months Rate: £18 per hour (umbrella)
