Site Manager - WaterLocation: Didcot/ Oxford areaEmployment Type: Long-term contract (with a view to permanent)Are you an experienced Site Manager looking for long-term, stable work within the water sector?If you have a background in managing complex civils and utilities packages and are comfortable working on large water mains projects, this could be the right opportunity for you.Our client, a tier-one contractor working in partnership with a major UK water company, is seeking a Site Manager to join their team. This is a key role on a critical water infrastructure programme.Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Construction Manager, oversee daily operations on-site
  • Manage supervisors, direct labour teams, and subcontractors
  • Ensure all works are carried out to the highest health, safety, and quality standards
  • Maintain compliance with water industry regulations and client specifications
  • Plan and coordinate plant requirements and temporary works
  • Drive performance against project programme, budget, and quality KPIs
Candidate Requirements
  • Strong site management experience within the water sector
  • Deep excavation and large diameter water mains experience essential
  • Knowledge of temporary works and related health & safety procedures
  • Experience coordinating direct labour and subcontractors
  • Comfortable working in a highly regulated and quality-critical environment
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and ideally EUSR (Clean Water)
