🚗 Hybrid Working | Immediate Start AvailableWalsall Council is seeking an experienced Safeguarding Social Worker to join their frontline children's services team, working to protect and support vulnerable children and young people.This is a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children at risk, requiring a confident practitioner with strong assessment and risk management skills.🔹 Key Responsibilities:Hold a caseload of children subject to safeguarding concerns, including Child Protection and Child in Need plansUndertake Section 47 enquiries, assessments, and direct work with children and familiesDevelop and implement outcome-focused care and safety plansLiaise effectively with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomesPrepare and present reports for case conferences, reviews, and, where necessary, court proceedingsKeep accurate and timely case records on the council's systems🔹 Requirements:Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registrationAt least 2 years' post-qualifying experience in safeguarding or child protectionIn-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidanceAbility to manage complex cases and work to tight deadlinesEnhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)Car driver with access to own vehicle preferred🔹 Benefits:Competitive rate of £33.30 per hour (Umbrella)Hybrid working arrangementsSupportive management and regular supervisionWeekly payroll and dedicated recruitment supportRandstad Care acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
