Teaching Assistant - Mainstream SEN - Primary SchoolAcademics Bristol is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEND) and helping every child reach their potential. This role is based in a 'good' primary, part of an award-winning multi-academy trust, who are committed to preparing children for the future through high-quality teaching, inclusion, and character development.Location: Montpelier, Bristol BS6 - easily accessible by public transport
Salary: £90 - £115 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Term time onlyAs a Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Work with individual pupils on a 1:1 basis, supporting their learning and development.
  • Supervise and provide tailored support for pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Encourage pupils to engage with others and participate in teacher-led activities.
  • Create a purposeful and supportive learning environment and assist with the display of pupils' work.
  • Monitor and record progress, feeding back to teachers.
  • Help promote positive behaviour, resilience and independence.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Has GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grades A-C / 9-4).
  • Brings experience of working with children with a variety of educational needs.
  • Can model positive behaviour and encourage good social skills.
  • Has the ability to motivate, inspire and build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
