Role: SEN TEACHERLocation: Buckingham (Buckinghamshire)Contract: Full timeStart: April 2024Supply desk are seeking an outstanding nurturing, vibrant SEN teacher to work closely pupils with complex learning difficultuies in a school in the Buckingham area. The school is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced SEN school teacher with a proven track record of success in the classroom. Which involves working 1:1 or with small groups of students from variety of ages, providing a personalized learning approach to get ensure students become happy and confident in their different learning pathways.The school:Then school are committed to serving the diverse community, as a result the school is recognised in providing equal opportunities through community and British values such as inclusion, integrity, spirituality and strong morals. This assisting in the development and social awareness of young pupils enabling students to become valuable and well-rounded members of today’s society.The role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
  • Create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods accordingly to address their specific needs.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with parents, guardians, and caregivers to provide regular updates on students’ progress and development.
  • Attend meetings with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals to discuss students’ needs and progress.
The ideal candidate:
  • Teaching qualification and relevant certifications for working with students with special educational needs (e.g., PGCE in Special Education).
  • Proven experience as a SEN Teacher, preferably in a similar educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of various learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching and supporting students.
