Up to £114 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)We are working with a nurturing and well-organised primary school in the E16 area to recruit a confident and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join the Early Years team from September 2025.The school has a strong early years provision and prides itself on delivering child-centred, play-based learning in a caring and inclusive environment. Staff are supported with structured planning, frequent CPD, and clear development pathways.This role is ideal for someone with a passion for working with children in Nursery or Reception who understands the importance of early development, routine, and a safe, stimulating environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Support learning and development in line with the EYFS Framework
- Assist with phonics, early number work, fine motor skill activities and play-based learning
- Provide 1:1 or small group support, including for children with additional needs
- Monitor and record progress using school observation systems
- Support routines around snack time, toileting and transitions throughout the day
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and parents to support every child
- Experience working within an EYFS setting (school or nursery)
- A calm, nurturing and enthusiastic approach
- Knowledge of the EYFS Framework and early development stages
- A relevant early years qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning / Childcare
- Experience with phonics, early literacy or SEN support is highly desirable
- Close to Canning Town, Prince Regent and Royal Victoria DLR stations
- Bus routes include: 147, 241, 300, 474
- Easily accessible from Newham, Tower Hamlets and Barking
- Weekly pay - up to £114 per day
- Free CPD including phonics, EYFS curriculum, safeguarding and SEN training
- Long-term and temp to perm placements only - no daily supply
- Progression routes into HLTA, early years intervention or teacher training pathways
- Specialist consultant support with EYFS and Primary expertise
