Health Care Assistant within the Orthotics team will be undertaking the role of assisting the professionally qualified staff in the delivery of all aspects of care to ensure patient focused care is delivered safely and in a timely manner.This role requires the staff member to perform some specialist testing of patients who visit the unit, this will be an integral part of this role within this very busy fast paced unit.You will also provide clinical support as required to help always ensure the efficient and effective running of the Department, following current standards and policies relevant to the area.Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.Main duties of the jobWork as part of a team within a very busy fast paced unit, delivering specialist testing to enable doctors to be able to diagnose and treat many of the ophthalmic conditions in which we support our patients.To be able to quickly learn skills and follow instructions for their important job role to enable the team to complete their part of the journey that patients follow when attending for ophthalmic issues.Ability to attend many learning events to increase knowledge and skills to and adopt them into the work area.About usThe Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester.
