NIGHT Staff NurseRMHN/ LD/RGN NeurorehabilitationLocation: York- Brainkind Neurological Centre York - Bishopthorpe Road YO23 1DESalary: £37,630.70 - £46,150.53 per Annum DOEHours:Full-time contracts are 38.5 hours and cover 7 x12hr shifts every two weeks.We are looking for nurses to join our team working at our brand-new flagship service.Brainkind Neurological Centre York is a purpose-built 40-bed state-of-the-art independent hospital., providing high-quality neuropsychiatric, neurobehavioral assessment and rehabilitation for people following an acquired brain injury with a range of additional mental health and physical conditions.Main duties of the jobWe are looking for nurses:

Contribute to the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care as part of the interdisciplinary team.To participate in the holistic assessment of service users care and support needs after admission to the service.To act as key worker and advocate for designated service users; liaising closely with other key workers and professionals including report writing, assessments, and recording of information.To participate in planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of the progress and outcome of service users individual goals and objectives.To provide individualised, evidence based holistic care and approach to service users and their carers.Exercise sound clinical leadership by example and instruction.Competently carry out clinical procedures and use appropriate clinical equipment within scope of practice seeking advice and further development when requiredPromote effective confidential communication with service users, relatives, families, carers and colleagues (including external personnel) providing information and support to assist decision-making and be willing to advocate on the service users behalf.Ensure that the custody and administration of drugs is in accordance with both the statutory obligations and those in the service.We care about your wellbeing and want you to be at your best.   • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible in approach to work
  • A friendly and approachable manner with good people skills, showing care and empathy

  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act & Mental Capacity Act
Desirable
  • Previous acquired brain injury experience
  • Be a recognised practice assessor/ practice supervisor
  • Understanding of Risk assessment and management and its application within practice
