Join us and help shape the future of agriculture.Job DescriptionWe have an excellent opportunity in Grangemouth for a highly skilled Senior Analytical Chemist. You will contribute to the development of innovative solutions in support of AI (Active Ingredient) manufacture and formulation activities. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
  • Leading and conducting complex analytical experiments using state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Developing and validating new analytical methods for active ingredient and formulation products and support environmental improvements.
  • Providing expert interpretation of analytical data and technical reports.
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams locally and globally.
  • Mentoring less experienced analysts and provide guidance and training in analytical techniques.
  • Collaborating on multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Staying abreast of advancements in analytical chemistry and introduce innovative approaches to improve laboratory processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications and required experience
  • Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Forensics or related field.
  • Extensive experience in analytical chemistry within the agricultural, environmental, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry.
  • Proficiency in techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, and spectroscopy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Experience in method development and validation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The site was founded in 1919 and today employs nearly 400 skilled people in a variety of roles that include manufacturing, engineering, scientific and production support.
