Carpentry TechnicianLocation: BirminghamContract: Full-Time, TemporaryHours: 37 per weekInterview Date: ASAPStart Date: Immediate or after notice periodMorgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a prestigious Further Education college to recruit an experienced Carpentry Technician on a temporary basis.Role ResponsibilitiesThe Carpentry Technician will:
  • Support the delivery of high-quality Carpentry and Joinery programmes.
  • Prepare, set up, and maintain workshop tools, equipment, and resources.
  • Assist lecturers in delivering practical demonstrations and assessments.
  • Monitor student activity in workshops, ensuring safe and effective working practices.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding standards at all times.
Desirable Criteria
  • A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery (Level 3 preferred).
  • Strong industry experience within Carpentry and Construction.
  • Experience supporting teaching, training, or mentoring in a workshop environment.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
