Newly refurbished property requires a diligent Housekeeper. Competitive salary with separate accommodation.Job Summary: Private couple seek a professional, diligent Housekeeper with an eye for detail to look after their newly renovated property in Godalming, Surrey. The principals travel frequently and have another property in London so there will be periods in which you will have sole charge of the home. The main property consists of 5 bedrooms with a 3-bedroom guest cottage on site. Focus on keeping the home to an excellent standard. You will be responsible for managing the running of the property, ensuring everything is working or appropriately qualified contractors are arranged to address any issues.Accommodation:
  • Separate cottage with bedroom, bathroom, living room & kitchen
  • Unfortunately, they are unable to accommodate those with pets or dependants
General duties:
  • Running and management of the house
  • Organising the home
  • High end housekeeping
  • Care of art, antiques, fine furnishings
  • Deep cleaning
  • Laundry/Ironing (Silk, cashmere)
  • Prepare the house for their arrival or if they have guests
  • Occasional simple family cooking (able to follow a recipe)
  • Identifying anything which needs fixing, liaising with appropriate contractors
  • Grocery shopping
  • Ad hoc driving
Candidate requirements:
  • The ideal candidate for this role will be seeking a long-term role in Surrey and happy for this to be their primary residence
  • You will have proven experience delivering a high standard of cleaning
  • Confident caring for high end items such as art, antiques, fine furnishings
  • Experience caring for high end clothing
  • Must be a confident driver
  • Self-motivated
  • Dog friendly (the principal will bring their dog when in residence)
  • Strong track record of longevity with checkable references
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Proactive and uses initiative
DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
