Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Utilities Coordinator to join a Tier 1 main contractor delivering a major section of the HS2 project.This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure schemes, supporting the coordination and delivery of complex utilities diversions, installations, and protection works across multiple sites.The RoleAs a Utilities Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and managing utility interfaces to ensure packages are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll liaise with designers, subcontractors, and statutory undertakers to keep works progressing smoothly while maintaining compliance with all relevant standards.Key responsibilities include:Coordinating utility diversions, protection works, and installationsLiaising with statutory undertakers and third-party stakeholdersReviewing and managing designs, drawings, and approvalsEnsuring safety, environmental, and quality standards are metAssisting in programme planning and progress reportingManaging permits, consents, and access requirementsSupporting the wider delivery team on utilities-related issuesAbout YouWe’re looking for a proactive Utilities Coordinator with:Previous experience in utilities coordination on major civil engineering projectsA background in highways, rail, or large-scale infrastructure (HS2 preferred)Good understanding of statutory undertakers processes and interface managementAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skillsValid CSCS card and full UK driving licence
