Job Views 4DescriptionService EngineerWorcester to Bristol to Oxford.£30,000 - £55,000 Salaried role, 50 contracted hours + company van + Premier Inn card + £25 unreceipted meal allowance + tools provided + Pension + 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.My client is an established manufacturer of machine tools from milling lathes and manual machines to tool room machining centres. They are looking for an experienced machine tool engineer to join their growing team of service engineers covering the midlands to the South.The company boasts excellent staff retention with many of their employees having worked there 20 + years as they offer unparalleled work life balance for their engineers by keeping the overnight stays to a minimum by intelligent scheduling methods.The role:
- You will report to the management team made up of ex-service managers who will provide guidance to support a sensible approach to the weekly work schedule.
- Performing the installation and commissioning of machines to provide routine and preventative maintenance.
- You will provide breakdown support, fault diagnosis and repair to electrical and mechanical faults.
- You will exchange ball screws, fit spindles and perform geometric re-alignments.
- You will predominantly work with ProtoTRAK controls, alongside Siemens 840D and Fanuc
- The role is electrically biased and the ideal candidate would be around a 60:40 split.
- Multi-Skilled engineers only, open to maintenance, service and machine tool fitting backgrounds.
- Confident in machine control operation to complete diagnostics.
- Sound mechanical knowledge of CNC machines required to perform mechanical tests, exchange ball screws, spindles and perform geometric alignments.
- Experience in ProtoTRAK is preferrable, but the more controls experience the better eg, siemens and Fanuc.
- Flexibility for overnight stays when required is essential although this is kept to the minimum.
- A valid UK passport is required
