Telford based engineering company expanding their sales and quotation department are seeking a Tendering Engineer. You will be involved in supporting the sales team to prepare quotes for the manufacture of electrical distribution equipment and taylor made control panels. Excellent opportunity to join a well-established business who continue to grow and develop their teams offering competitive salaries and good working hours.As tendering engineer, you will:
  • Prepare detailed and accurate quotations based on customer requirements and specifications.
  • Create general arrangement drawings to support quotations and ensure clarity.
  • Liaise directly with customers to interpret their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the external Business Development Manager to track quotation progress, manage re-quotes, and conduct customer visits.
  • Develop technical submissions to support quotations and ensure compliance with customer expectations.
What You Will Bring:
  • A strong understanding of the electrical engineering / electrical distribution industry and its applications.
  • Ideally hold an electrical qualification or served a technical apprenticeship
  • Exceptional communication skills to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in creating technical drawings and interpreting specifications.
  • Experience with quotation preparation and knowledge of software tools.
  • A commitment to quality and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
You will have current or recent experience in similar roles such as sales engineer, quotation engineer, technical sales engineer, applications engineer, electrical design engineer.In Return:
  • Salary of £35 – 40K
  • Very good working hours with early finish on Friday
