Tonbridge | 7:30am – 4pm Monday to FridayAre you an experienced Buyer looking for your next challenge within a busy manufacturing environment? We’re working with a well-established company based in Tonbridge who are looking to add a dynamic, energetic Buyer to their team.This is a great opportunity for someone with strong experience in purchasing within manufacturing or a related industry. You’ll need to bring enthusiasm, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to quickly get to grips with existing systems and processes — hitting the ground running from day one.About the role:
- Sourcing and purchasing a range of materials and components for production as well as office facilities
- Building strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best pricing and delivery schedules
- Working closely with production, logistics and sales teams to ensure continuity of supply
- Managing stock levels and placing orders in line with business needs
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Please note, this role involves working 5 days on site in Tonbridge
- Previous buying experience within a manufacturing, engineering or construction environment
- Experience sourcing metals is essential
- High energy, proactive and able to learn quickly
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- A commercial mindset with a sharp eye for detail
- A driver with own transport due to the location
