- An appropriate postgraduate degree, with relevant post-graduate research experience. Normally a PhD or substantial research experience.
- Experience in undertaking mixed methods research and/or qualitative research.
- Previous research experience in the field of children and young people affected by abuse or involved in social work services.
- Advanced knowledge about the issues impacting on children and young people who have experienced or witnessed abuse or violence, and knowledge of children's rights and European rights frameworks.
- Experience of undertaking a systematic literature review and advanced methodological expertise in how to document, monitor and evaluate mixed method or qualitative research.
