Employment Type: Full-time, PermanentWe are a well-established construction company based in Kirkham, and we're looking for a confident and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support our busy finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in finance who's looking to develop their skills within a thriving and supportive environment.What you'll be doing:Accurately process supplier invoices, ensuring timely data entry and codingMatch invoices to purchase orders and investigate discrepancies where neededCollaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve payment and invoice queries promptlyProcess subcontractor applications in line with internal approval workflowsReview and submit on-site labour timesheets for sign-offPrepare and process weekly payments to labour-only subcontractorsAssist with weekly and/or monthly payroll processingSet up and maintain accurate records of suppliers and subcontractors in our Construction Manager systemMonitor and reconcile staff expenses and company credit card usageManage the internal approval process for all supplier invoicesKeep the Accounts Manual up to date with current proceduresReconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding balancesProvide general administrative support including document filing and archivingWhat we're looking for:Experience in a similar accounts role, ideally within the construction sectorFamiliarity with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) is preferred, but not essentialA high level of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationshipsComfortable using accounting and construction-related systems (experience with Construction Manager is an advantage)A proactive, organised, and adaptable approach to workPlease send your CV for a call back or call Jamie Capper at Agility Resourcing in Preston
