For everyone, everywhere.More about and .Job DescriptionAbout the role:We are looking for a Backend engineer to join the Account Experience team. The team is the primary gateway into Wise, responsible for the dashboard users see when they first log on. We provide summaries of customers' recent actions, own the primary mechanisms to send push notifications and emails, and manage insights to help our customers identify ways to get more out of Wise.How we workAt Wise, we believe in independent teams where we define our priorities ourselves and everyone can contribute with ideas and suggestions. We work closely with our cross-functional partners to review user research and feedback and plan a roadmap that targets the biggest opportunities to improve our customer experience.What will you be working on?Our team is the central hub of the Wise experience for personal accounts. We own most of the primary touch points for customers:The landing page for logged-in usersProviding summaries of recent user activitiesSpending insights for customersPush notifications and email platform used by all product teams at WiseCustomer feedback across the appWhat do you need?You have 5+ years of software development experience (preferably using Java)A strong product mindset and passion for customer experience, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-pointsGreat communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audienceExperience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemasYou enjoy writing clean and testable codeYou believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedbackExperience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent SystemsInterested?
