About The RoleThese are exciting times at TFG London. We recently completed the acquisition of White Stuff to complement our established brands Phase Eight, Whistles Hobbs and Inside Story. We're not stopping there though; we have big plans for the next three years within our current brands and we want you to be part of that. We are keen to appoint a Commercial Finance Manager to support the the Head of Commercial Finance in our growth strategies across all of our brands and markets.. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Finance Professional to take the next step in their careerWhat you'll doAs Commercial Finance Manager you will be responsible for the following:
  • Review and report to senior team on analysis of monthly cost reports for all head office departments.
  • Hold monthly budget review meetings with each department and set action plans.
  • Attend and present financial information to store managers at area meetings
  • Oversee and review weekly trade analysis for all business channels around Sales, Margin and Stock.
  • Support the core finance team with monthly analysis to budget across all P&L lines
  • Attend monthly P&L and balance sheet review and take ownership of commercial finance / brand actions
  • Take ownership of and prepare (with assistance from the commercial finance analyst) the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and annual 5 year plan
  • Monthly balance sheet and cashflow forecasting
What you'll needTo be successful in the Commercial Finance Manager role you will have the following skills and experience:Qualifications & Experience:
  • Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CA
  • Experience operating in a multi-site environment
  • Previous retail experience beneficial, but not essential
  • Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience
  • Budgeting and forecasting
System Skills:
  • Microsoft applications
  • Advanced Excel
  • Experience of working with accounting systems (e.g. SUN/Mercatus) beneficial, but not essential

  • Strong desire to challenge the existing processes and seek to make improvements
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
