- Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and update the purchase ledger with all transactions in a timely manner.
- Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accurate account balances.
- Handle payment runs, including BACS and cheque payments.
- Assist with resolving supplier queries and discrepancies.
- Support month-end closing activities related to the purchase ledger.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Provide reports and updates to the accounting and finance team as required.
- Experience in accounts payable or similar roles within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- A solid understanding of purchase ledger processes and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
- An analytical mindset to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- An hourly salary equivalent to approximately £24,300 to £29,700 annually.
