Anderson Knight are seeking a Financial Controller to join our client, a leading, manufacturing group. This pivotal role is responsible for maintaining strong financial control, ensuring compliance across group entities, and delivering accurate, insightful financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.You'll work closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team to help shape the future of the business. This is a visible and influential position, with the opportunity to lead and develop a small finance team while building strong relationships across the organisation.Key Responsibilities
Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, and VAT returns
Lead the annual audit process across all group entities
Ensure robust financial governance and ethical standards
Lead, mentor and develop a small, high-performing finance team
Support investment decisions with pre- and post-appraisal analysis
Deliver regular and ad-hoc financial forecasts and scenario modelling
Drive efficiency through insightful reporting and process improvement
Produce monthly management accounts and board reporting packs
Lead the annual budgeting process and twice-yearly forecasting cycles
Monitor and report weekly cash flow and ensure strong liquidity
Maintain strong working relationships with auditors and banking partners
Provide financial insight to board and senior management meetings
About You
Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CIMA)
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable in a fast-moving, change-oriented environment
Ability to challenge and implement positive change
