Behaviour Support Worker

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit two individuals to work with a Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) Unit in Redruth, Cornwall.The site houses pupils who have been referred to the provision due to statements typically referring to social, emotional, and mental health conditions.
  • Provide support to students in managing their behaviour in educational settings
  • Numerous trips out to the sea, and other recreational activities in within the local community
  • Implement behavioural management strategies to support students with mental health issues, anxiety, and trauma
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for students, incorporating trauma-informed practises
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to address behavioural concerns and develop individualised support plans
  • Participate in safeguarding procedures to protect the well-being of students
Ideal Experiences:
  • Strong understanding of behavioural management techniques
  • Familiarity with mental health issues, anxiety, and trauma
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practises
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, teachers, and other professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
