This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a main contractor working on various schemes across the midlands and north west.Our client is looking for a Senior Estimator to join them. This is a 'Temp-to-Perm' arrangement, meaning you will be paid on a day rate for the initial 6 months before transitioning to a permanent position.The role is predominently remote. My client has offices in Salford, Warrington, Sheffield and Birmingham.   • Day rate negotiable, then £80-90k Salary + Package DOEInside IR35

Key responsibilities for this Senior Estimator role:
  • Leading the estimating process within the bid or framework teams from receipt of documents to handover to the delivery teams
  • Preparation and representation of the estimate bid team meetings and final settlement of bid
  • Initiate technical queries and ensure design sufficiently developed to ensure accurate costings
  • Technical and commercial appraisal of material and subcontract quotations including selection of prospective sub-contractors
  • Use of estimating software as a basis of preparing the estimate, RIB Candy or similar software.
Experience required for this Senior Estimator role:
  • Degree/HNC qualified in a construction or civil engineering related subject
  • Experience working as an Estimator for a major civil engineer contractor
  • Commercial awareness with a knowledge of various forms of contract - NEC, ICE and IChemE
