The RoleAs Senior Process Engineer, you will play a leading role in the design, development, and commissioning of new ABE fermentation plants. You will:
  • Lead the development of new plant design, ensuring technical robustness and timely delivery.
  • Take ownership of front-end engineering design, including sizing and specifying equipment, producing datasheets, PFDs, P&IDs, and control philosophies.
  • Manage the internal design team and external EPC partners, ensuring adherence to standards, safety, and budget.
  • Support HAZOP studies and ensure safe, optimised design decisions.
  • Provide senior technical support to the operations team at Grangemouth, helping drive optimisation and performance.
  • Mentor junior engineers, setting standards and developing Celtic Renewables’ project delivery model.
About You
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering (minimum BEng).
  • 5 - 10 years’ process/project engineering experience in an EPC/design-build environment.
  • Strong experience in FEED, detailed design, and equipment specification.
  • Comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
  • Proactive, resilient, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
