- Support the Senior Accountant in providing financial advice and reporting on specific grant schemes to Directors, Heads of Service, and project boards.
- Prepare and produce grant budget monitoring reports, financial submissions, and management information to agreed timetables.
- Assist in the preparation of service and grant budgets, including year-end accounts, claims, and financial outturns.
- Provide advice and support to managers in preparing budget options, ensuring compliance with grant funding requirements.
- Monitor expenditure on grant-funded schemes, ensuring accurate coding, claim submissions, and compliance with grant conditions.
- Relevant Level 4 financial qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales OR Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 4 (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a financial environment, providing advice and analysis on budgetary and financial implications.
- Experience in budget monitoring, budget setting, and preparation of year-end accounts.
- Experience in financial aspects of grant funding.
- Experience of liaising with operational managers and staff regarding financial matters.
- Commitment to high standards of financial management and service delivery.
- Ability to travel to other work sites when required.
- Full UK Category B driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business purposes.
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
